Description

The Carderock Division Naval Surface Warfare Center intends to negotiate a sole source procurement with Vehicle Control Technologies. Naval Surface Warfare Center is responsible for testing and evaluating various devices and configurations on the Large Scale Vehicle at Bayview, Idaho. One such device and evaluation scheduled is a set of attached pods to the horizontal planes (WSQ-9). In preparation for this effort, evaluation is required to test the stability limit for the current autopilot gains and to determine if any changes are needed to LSV controls for an LSV with WSQ-9 pods attached. The contractor will determine new values for existing Autonomous Control Software parameters. The contractor will develop closed loop control systems simulations for the WSQ-9 vehicle configuration, performing control system and jam detection validation simulations. VCT will execute the simulations required to create submerged operating envelopes and perform a sensitivity analysis showing SOE variations due to changes in controller bandwidth. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements under the authority of FAR 6.302.1. Anticipated award is on or about 9/24/01.
