- The solicitation will be issued electronically on the FEDBIZOPPS web page on or about September 29, 2001 at http://www.eps.gov/. Please sign up for the Auto Notification service to receive an e-mail from FEDBIZOPPS when an action is taken under this solicitation. Provide all labor, material and equipment necessary to perform drydock repairs to the USCGC HUDSON (WLIC-801) including but not limited to the following Base and Option items: (1) Welding Repairs, (2) Clean and Inspect Sewage and Grey Water Collection and Holding Tank(s), (3) Remove, Inspect, and Reinstall Propeller Shafts, (4) Straighten Shaft, (5)Renew Water-Lubricated Shaft Bearings, (6) Renew Shaft Sleeves, (7) Remove, Inspect, and Reinstall Propellers, (8) Perform Minor Repairs and Reconditioning of Propeller, (9) Clean and Test Grid Coolers, (10) Preserve Transducer Hull Rings and Renew The Depth Indicating Transducer, (11) Overhaul, Renew, and Test Valves, (12) Remove, Inspect, and Reinstall Rudders, (13) Preserve Spuds and Spud Wells, (14) Renew Spud Well Liners, (15) Inspect Various Deck Fittings, (16) Preserve Construction Deck, (17) Preserve and Disinfect Potable Water Tanks, (18) Preserve Ballast Tanks, (19) Paint Draft Figures, (20) Preserve Sewage and Grey Water Collection And Holding Tanks, (21) Preserve Underwater Body, (22)Provide Temporary Dinning, (23) Provide Temporary Lodging, (24) Provide Temporary Logistics, (25) Routine Drydocking, (26) Provide Access to Various Compartments for Ship?s Structure and Machinery Evaluation Board Inspection, (27) Renew Deck Plating and Framing in 01 Hold, (28) Install Additional Sewage Tank Manhole Cover, (29) Upgrade Ship Service Generator Cooling System, (30) Protect Weatherford CG300 Hydraulic ATON Crane, (31) Renew Sewage Tank Level Sensors, (32) Preserve Weather Decks, (33) Preserve Freeboard, and (34) GFP report in accordance with solicitation Section H. The vessel is a 160 Foot ?A? Class Inland Construction Tender. Vessel's homepier is located at 100 MacArthur Causway, Miami Beach, Florida 33139. All repairs are to be performed at the contractor?s facility. The USCGC HUDSON is geographically restricted to no open water transits. The vessel is restricted from Tampa, FL to Philadelphia, PA via Intra Coastal Waterway.Vessel's minimum depth of water is 10 feet, and the minimum height clearance is 42 feet. The performance period is forty-two (42) calendar days beginning on or about January 7, 2002. Funds are available for this procurement. All reference documents are available for viewing at 300 East Main Street, Suite 600, Norfolk, VA 23510-9102. Drawings are now available on CD-ROM. The CD-ROM sets are available for all cutters and will be free of charge to contractors upon request [ten days from solicitation issuance]. MLCA must have ten (10) days advance notice to complete a CD-ROM set of drawings. The CD-ROM(s) contain WINDOWS compliant raster/vector formats (e.g.*.DWF, etc). Drawings are still available in hardcopy; however, a non-refundable charge of $150.00 is required in the form of a certified check or money order made payable to the U.S. Coast Guard for requested drawings. This procurement is subject to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. All businesses, large and small, are encouraged to submit bids for subject requirements. Plans and specifications will be issued on or about September 29, 2001. All responsible sources may submit a bid, which shall be considered by the United States Coast Guard. The Department of Transportation (DOT), Short Term Lending Program (STLP) offers working capital financing in the form of lines of credit to finance accounts receivable for transportation related contracts.
