- Description
- The Federal Bureau of Prisons intends to make a single award to a responsible quoter for a non-personal service contract for Native American Medicine Man/Spiritual Advisor Services to be provided to the inmate population at the United States Penitentiary (USP) and Federal Prison Camp (FPC), Pollock, LA. The requirement for a Medicine Man/Spiritual Advisor shall consist of one position working one 5-hour session per quarterly normally on Saturdays between the hours of 8:00 a.m. through 2:30 p.m. The total number of sessions for a 12-month contract period is estimated at 4 sessions. The Contractor will conduct but will not necessarily be limited to providing teaching, prayer and counseling, along with in corporating worship (sweat ceremony) to the inmates. Services will normally be provided on Saturdays between the hours of 8:00 a.m. The Contractor shall be a member of a recognized Native American Medicine Man and will be thoroughly familiar with all facets of the Native American religious practices. The solicitation will be available on or about October 1, 2001, with a deadline for receipt of quotations on approximately, October 15, 2001. This procurement is set aside 100 percent for small business concerns. Requests for Quotations should be submitted in writing only. Telephone and facsimile request will not be accepted. All responsible offers within the competitive range will be considered. "See note(s) 1".
