Description

The Federal Bureau of Prisons intends to make a single award to a responsible quoter for a non-personal service contract for Nation of Islam Services to be provided to the inmate population at the United States Penitentiary (USP) and Federal Prison Camp (FPC), Pollock, LA. The requirement for a certified Nation of Islam Minister shall consist of one position working two 1-hour sessions per month normally on Fridays between the hours of 12:30 p.m. through 2:30 p.m. The total number of sessions for a 12-month contract period is estimated at 24 sessions. The Contractor will conduct, but will not necessarily be limited to providing instruction, counsel, and leadership training in rituals, traditions, and spiritual guidance in Islam faith matters. The Contractor will conduct Nation of Islam services, counsel and give guidance to the inmate population. The Contractor shall be a member of a recognized Minister of the Nation of Islam and will be thoroughly familiar with all facets of the Nation of Islam religious practices. The solicitation will be available on or about October 1, 2001, with a deadline for receipt of quotations of approximately, October 15, 2001. This procurement is set aside 100 percent for small business concerns. Requests for Quotations should be submitted in writing only. Telephone and facsimile request will not be accepted.
