Description

The Federal Bureau of Prisons intends to make a single award to a responsible quoter for a non-personal service contract for certified Rastafarian Minister Services to be provided to the inmate population at the United States Penitentiary (USP) and Federal Prison Camp (FPC), Pollock, LA. The requirement for the minister shall consist of one position working one 2-hour session per quarterly normally on Saturdays between the hours of 1:30 a.m. through 3:30 p.m. The total number of sessions for a 12-month contract period is estimated at 4 sessions. The contractor will normally make one visit to the USP and FPC quarterly to meet with the Rastafarian inmates in traditions and ways. The Contractor will conduct, but will not necessarily be limited to providing instruction, counseling, leadership training in rituals, traditions, and spiritual guidance in Rastafarian faith matters. The Contractor shall be a Licensed Rastafarian Priest, member of a recognized Rastafarian minister and will be thoroughly familiar with all facets of the Rastafarian religious practices. The solicitation will be available on or about October 1, 2001, with a deadline for receipt of quotations of approximately, October 15, 2001. This procurement is set aside 100 percent for small business concerns. Requests for Quotations should be submitted in writing only. Telephone and facsimile request will not be accepted.
