- Description
- TVA is seeking company to design, engineer, and construct skid-mounted equipment packages suitable for highway transportation by truck for proces equipment involving fluids such as R22, LNG, and ammonia at pressures up to 2000 psia and temperatures up to 500 degress F. Requirements include the ability to specify and procure commercially available equipment such as pumps, compressors, heat exchangers, piping and valves, vessels and tanks, electric equipment including motors, and instruments and controls; and integrate these with custom components supplied by TVA or others. Work must meet applicable codes and standards, including, but not limited to, American National Standards Institute Code for Pressure Piping, ANSI B31.3; National Fire Protection Association, NFPA; National Electric Code, NEC; Occupational Safety and Health Administration, OSHA; Instrument Society of America, ISA; and the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers, IEEE. The pakage to be constructed involve proprietary new concepts, and companies will be required to sign TVA's standard nondisclosure agreement. Depending on the success of these concepts, TVA could expand the contract with the company to produce commercial products. Companies who have actually designed and produced skid-mounted process plants are preferred. Please include a very brief description of your company and it's capabilities, the name, phone and fax numbers, and e-mail address of contact person, and internet site address if applicable. Those respondents who appear to be able to satisfy TVA's requirements will receive a formal request for qualifications, which will supply additional details and ask for further information to help TVA select the companies to which it will send a request for proposal. For more information, please contact Thomas F. Butler, TVA, 1101 Market Street, MR 2T, Chattanooga, Tennessee 37402-2801m (423) 751-6120.
