- Description
- The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) through the Program Support Center/Division of Acquisition Management, intends to award an acquisition entitled, "Improving Quality Through Coordination of Primary Care, Behavioral Health Care and Pharmaceutical Benefits." The objectives of this project are (1) to develop strategies that are salient to innovative large employers and other large purchasers of health care services who desire to improve the integration or coordination of pharmacy, managed primary health care and managed behavioral health care available to their beneficiaries, and (2) to build on the market pressures from innovative large employers so that pharmacy, behavioral health and primary health services are restructured to support good clinical medicine. The specific focus of this project will be to identify solutions to problems with coordination of psychotropic medication benefits that large employers and business coalitions are willing to test in order to better achieve improved patient outcomes while appropriately constraining costs. This project is anticipated to be 26 weeks in duration. The request for quotation will be available at www.fedbizopps.gov.
