Description

This requirement is to convert a multi purpose room into a basketball court at the NNPTC school located on the Naval Weapons Station, Goose Creek, SC. (1) Work includes but, not limited to removal of suspended acoustical tile ceiling and suspension system. (2) Raise supply and air diffusers, fan terminal units, sprinkler heads and supply lines, light fixtures and conduit and speakers to underside or within the existing metal trusses. (3) Modify sprinkler system as required by code. (4) Furnish and install new 2' wide x 6' high safety wall padding on all walls. (5) 13' -- 4" +/- above finished floor. (5) Prep, prime and paint existing gypsum board, not previously painted, from 13' -- 4" +/- above finished floor to underside of existing metal deck(elevation varies). (6) Prep and prime metal doors and frames. Prep and varnish the existing wood doors. Paint new basketballl backstops structures, tempered glass backstops with edge pads, breakaway goals, hardware & nets. (7) Furnish and install steel cages to protect the existing fire alarm, fire strobes, emergency lighting and exit signs. (8) Provide six new light fixtures and conduit to match existing. (9) All work to be in accordance with specifications and drawings available in electronic format only. (10) Site visit is MANDATORY. (11) This is set aside for hubzone contractors only.*****
