Description

The U.S. Army Command (MEDCOM) Contracting Center, Fort Sam Houston, Tx, intends to issue a sole source firm-fixed price purchase order to Baxter Tatum, 11539 Spyglass Hill, San Antonio, TX 78256. This purchase order is for one (1) telecommunication Systems Analyst/Network Engineer for the U.S. Army Dental Command's Corporate Dental Application for the period 16 Sep 01 thru 15 Sep 02. Mr. Tatum has gained experience that is invaluable to the Army Dental Command traveling to Korea, Germany, and several CONUS locations to configure network devices and other hardware in numerous dental clinics over the past year. The knowledge and insight Mr. Baxter has gained about the unique operation of the U.S. Army Dental Command's mission will be critical to the success of this project and makes him an irreplaceable asset during this crucial state of network and systems configuration and integration. This notice documents and incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisitions Circular 90-46 and FAR Part 12 for Commercial items. This is a sole source procurement under the authority of the FAR 6.302-1. Standard Industrial Classification/North American Industry Classification System (SIC/NAICS) is 7379/541330. This notice of intent is not a request for quotations (RFQ) for competitive quotes. A determination by the government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses of this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Note 22 applies.
