Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for Commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in the FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This Announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This Announcement/Solicitation is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ) and incorporates the provisions and clauses that are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-27 and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) Change Notice (DCN) 2000-1213. This action is Set-Aside for Small Businesses. The applicable NAIC Code is 811212 and the small business size standard is $18 Million. The contractor shall provide non-personal services, parts, labor, components, tools, materials, equipment and transportation necessary for maintenance service of Canon color copiers and the Novajet 600 printer for one Base Year and 4 One-Year Options. Award is expected to be on or about 20 September 2001 and delivery of services are required not later than 01 October 2001. Inspection and acceptance of services shall be made at destination. The contractor shall extend to the Government full coverage of any standard commercial warranty normally offered in similar commercial sale of services. Acceptance of the warranty does not waive the Government's rights under any "Inspection" clause that may be in the award, nor does it limit the Government's rights with regard to the other terms and conditions of the purchase order. In the event of a conflict, the terms and conditions of the purchase order shall take precedence over the warranty. The provision at 52.212-2 EVALUATION -- COMMERCIAL ITEMS (JAN 1999) does not apply to this acquisition. The offeror shall provide back-up information that verifies the price quoted. This could consist of a copy of the current catalog or price list; invoices from previous services of the identical item(s); etc. Offeror shall include a completed copy of the provision at FAR 52.212-3, OFFEROR REPRESENTATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS with its quote.
