Description

The Virginia Contracting Activity/Missile & Space, Intelligence Center (MSIC), intends to procure on sole source basis this combined synopsis/solicitation procurement with Texas Memory Systems, Inc., Houston, Texas, for signal analysis lab equipment. This is the purchase of one SAM-550 digital signal processor with 32 GB of memory, one VP-4 Vector processor (32 GFLOPS) with one TXL255 fibreoptic interface card, one PCI200 PCI bus interface care, one ECL151-out differential ECL interface card, one ECL151-IN differential ECL input interface card, and associated SW-media software. Texas Memory Systems, Inc was selected as a sole source because they are the designer and builder of the required equipment and furthermore, they have an intimate knowledge regarding the design, construction and operation of the instrumentation required for the signal analysis lab. No RFQ's or RFPs will be issued other than this notice. If other than the fore-mentioned equipment is proposed, details, specifications, and/or descriptions shall be submitted along with offeror's quote. All offerors interested in submitting an offer must fax their proposals to MSIC, ATTN: CPT James A. Bamburg, at FAX 256-313-7963 NLT 17 September 2001 in order to be considered. Only facsimile proposals sent to the above number will be considered. The provisions at FAR 52.212-1 Instructions to offerors, 52-212-2 evaluation of commercial items, 52.212-3 Offeror representations and certifications-commercial items, 52.212-4 contract terms and conditions-commercial items, and 52.212-5 contract terms and conditions required to implement statutes or executive orders-commercial items, will apply to any contract issued for this procurement.
