Description

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) intends to procure an integrated aural cue and voice communicator system with DIS/HLA compatibility, in a single integrated platform from Advanced Simulation Technology, Inc., 441-A Carlisle Drive, Herndon, Virginia 20170 on a sole source basis. Pursuant to FAR 13.106-2(a)(5), the contracting officer has determined that Advanced Simulation Technology, Inc. is the only manufacturer and distributor of the required system. The purpose of this purchase is to replace existing live radio frequency transceivers with digital communications to simulate disaster/emergency conditions. Advanced Simulation Technology's product is the only known digital communication system capable of replacing an existing radio system that meets all system requirements. No solicitation documentation exists. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations. However, interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement.
