Description
1. This is a combined synopsis /solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The solicitation document incorporates provisions and clauses that are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-27. IMPORTANT Only offerors who are registered in the Central Contractor Database are eligible for award (reference DFARS Clause 52.204-7004 or see web site http://www.ccr2000.com/) This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. This is a solicitation -- quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Immediately request a copy of the sketch/schematic (1page) from Frank Delgado at 719-526-3481; fax 719-526-4490; e-mail: frank.delgado@carson.army.mil., and submit quotations not later than 2:30 p.m. 17 September 2001. 2. The NAIC is 333319 and the small business size standard is 500 employees. 3. The agency need is for 2 each Mobile Overhead Lift (Hoist) System, for lifting an engine pack (engine and transmission) from an M60 or M88 tracked armored vehicles. Dimensions: maximum height of assembly 16 ft.; minimum inside width of A-frame 12 ft.; maximum width of A-Frame 16 ft.; maximum length of A-Frame 12 ft.; and lifting height 108 inches off the ground lifting a 78 inch tall engine, including sling assembly. Requirements: Electric Trolley with manual override; Electric Hoist with manual override; 10 Short Ton Lifting Capacity; Ability to move A-frame forward and laterally while carrying load; Engine or Hoist Lock to prevent free fall; and Secondary free fall protection system (static chain to hold object in place once it is lifted. 4. Successful offeror shall submit not later than 10 calendar days after award a design certified by a licensed structural engineer in the state where fabrication and assembly occurs for review and acceptance by the government prior to fabrication and/or assembly of the item. 5. FOB Destination is required. 6. Indicate in quotation the delivery date. 7. Offeror shall include a completed copy of provision 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items ALT I, with its offer. The following clauses are applicable to this acquisition: 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Conditions; and 52-212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions required to implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial Items. The following additional FAR clause cited are applicable to this acquisition and are cited by reference: 52.222-21 Prohibition of Segregated Facilities; 52.222-26 Equal Opportunity; 52.222-35 Affirmative Action for Disabled Veterans and Veterans of the Vietnam Era; 52.222-36 Affirmative Action for Workers with Disabilities; 52.222-37 Employment Reports on Disabled Veterans and Veterans of the Vietnam Era; 52.232-33 Payment by Electronic Funds Transfer-Central Contractor Registration, and 52.225-7001 Buy American Act and Balance of Payment Program.
