Description

This is a combined synopsis and announcement. MILITARY SEALIFT COMMAND, ATLANTIC Intends to award a Sole Source contract on/about 21 September 2001, to Foster Wheeler for two Marine Superheater Headers and Tubes. This procurement is being made in accordance with FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii)-1(b)(1)(i) and (ii) Sole Source; Far 6.302-1(b)(2)(Limited rights and data); the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(i)or 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1) and FAR 13.5 in accordance with FAR 5.203(b) (Commercial acquisition) Foster Wheeler is the only known source for current engineering details and manufacturing data of this equipment.
