Description

This is a sole source procurement for Marine Corps Base, Camp Pendleton, Ca. utilizing the Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The requirement is for a firm fixed price contract. The Government intends to issue a sole source procurement to ViaSat Incorporated, Carlsbad, Ca. for the following item. 0001. Crypographic device KIV-21 VIP 100 Inline Packet Network Encryptor, p/n SI-012660-0000. Must meet user NASA requirements. Quantity; 6 each. No substitution on Brand Name. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 334290. COMSEC account number will be provided when needed. No solicitation is available. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and written solicitation will not be issued. The proposed contract action is for items the Government intends to solicit with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302.1. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a rquest for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all proposals received within ten (10) days after date of publication of this announcement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Award date is anticipated to be made on 24 September 2001.
