Description

The Defense Information Technology Contracting Office, Information Technology Division, Eastern and Western Area Commands Branch (DTS41), Scott AFB IL, intends to issue a sole source contract to Sterling Commerce (America) Inc., 12355 Sunrise Valley Drive, Reston, VA 20191 for software license and maintenance support for the following products: Connect: Direct for OS/390; Connect: Tracs for MVS; and Connect: Direct for Unix. The software will reside the Defense Enterprise Computing Centers (DECCs) Mechanicsburg and Ogden. DECC Mechanicsburg location is 5450 Carlisle Pike, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055 and DECC Ogden location is 7879 Wardleigh Road, Hill AFB UT 84056. The period of performance is 01 October 2001 through 30 September 2002. The statutory authority for other than full and open competition is 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), Only One Responsible Source and no other supplies or services will satisfy Agency requirements. Any party who can provide the above listed software license and maintenance support must indicate their interest by the closing date of this announcement, 12 Sep 01. No contract award will be made on the basis of quotations/proposals received in response to this notice, since this synopsis cannot be considered a Request for Quotations/Proposals.
