Description

The Defense Information Technology Contracting Office, Information Technology Division, Eastern and Western Area Commands Branch (DTS41), Scott AFB IL, intends to issue a sole source contract to SSH Communications Security, Inc., 1076 East Meadow Circle, Palo Alto, CA 94303-4230 for software license and maintenance support for the following products: Secure Shell for Workstations, Secure Shell for Unix Servers, Secure Shell for Windows Servers. This software will reside at the Defense Enterprise Computing Center (DECC) Ogden at Hill AFB UT. The period of performance is 01 October 2001 through 31 September 2002. The statutory authority for other than full and open competition is 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1), Only One Responsible Source and no other supplies or services will satisfy Agency requirements. Any party who can provide the above listed software license and maintenance support must indicate their interest by the closing date of this announcement, 12 Sep 2001. Datafax inquiries to 618-229-9440 are acceptable. No contract award will be made on the basis of quotations/proposals received in response to this notice, since this synopsis cannot be considered a Request for Quotations/Proposals. The resultant contract will be firm-fixed price. All responses from responsible sources will be considered for award of a contract.
