Description

This is an Invitation For Bid (IFB) that replaces previously submitted RFQ-CC-01-17. Through a REVERSE AUCTION, the National Institutes of Health will purchase toilet tissue Kimberly Clark (Scotts) catalog number 078050 or equal, and paper towels, Kimberly Clark (Kleenex) catalog number 01080 or equal, toilet tissue Kimberly Clark (Scotts) catalog number 0510220 or equal, paper towels, Fort James catalog number FTJ206-03 or equal, toilet tissue dispenser (D2JRT) Kimberly-Clark catalog number 09078 and roll towel dispenser (Sanitouch) Kimberly-Clark, catalog number 09346, meeting the salient characteristics identified in the solicitation. Products proposed not fitting existing dispensers will require provision and installation of dispensers at no cost to the Government. This solicitation also requires replacement of broken or damaged dispensers at no cost to the Government. This is a total Small Business set-aside. All other concerns regarding specifications are to be directed in writing via electronic mail to al_plyler@nih.gov. Annual estimated quantity for towel 01080 and tissue 078050 is 3,640 cases, 12 rolls per case. The annual estimated quantity for towel FTJ206-03 is 1,716 cases, 16 paks per case, and estimated quantity for tissue 0510220 is 208 cases, 96 rolls per case. The average annual dispenser replacement rate for the initial period of contract performance is 100 paper towel dispensers, number 09346 and 30 toilet tissue dispensers, 2JTRT. Upon the opening of the Clinical Research Center (CRC) tentatively projected for Fall 2003, the Government will require that the vendor supply an estimated 500 toilet paper dispensers 400 c-fold paper towel dispensers and 1000 paper towel roll dispensers in addition to supplying toilet paper and paper towels. It is anticipated that a fixed-price, indefinite-delivery (requirements) type contract will be awarded for a period of one year with four 12-month option periods. Invitation for Bid (IFB) IFB-CC-01-19 will be available on or about September 11, 2001. Closing date for responses is approximately 6 calendar days after issuance of the IFB.
