Description

1) The Social Security Administration intends to negotiate solely with Promodel Corporation, 1875 South State, Suite 3400, Orem UT, 84058 under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 13.106-1(b) ?Soliciting from a Single Source? for continued maintenance on proprietary software. The period of performance for all maintenance is as follows: 10/1/01-9/30/02. The Contract Line Items (CLIN) Number, Description and Quantity are as follows: CLIN 0001 Pro model w/Unifit Statistical Pkg , 1 year; CLIN 0002 Pro model with interface, 1 year; CLIN 0003 Promodel PC Level 3, 1 year; CLIN 0004 Promodel PC Level 3, 1 year. Promodel is the manufacturer of the software and holds proprietary rights to this software. No other vendor of maintenance for this software is known to the Government. The software is already in use at SSA headquarters. The Government anticipates the award of a firm-fixed price purchase order. Written responses to this synopsis shall contain sufficient documentation to establish a bonafide capability to fulfill this requirement. A solicitation is not available. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
