17. PRESOLICITATION: Indian Health Service, Engineering Services Dallas, intends to solicit and negotiate a sole source award under authority of FAR 6.302-1 with Catclaw Contractors, 10519 E. Tanque Verde, Tucson, AZ for purchase, disassembly, transport and reassembly of an existing 7,140 square feet modular outpatient facility located on Davis Monthan Air Force Base. The contractor will provide all labor, tools, and materials necessary to disassemble, transport, and reassemble the modular facility onto the San Xavier Health Center Campus in Tucson, AZ. Disassembly of the modulars will include the utilities, ductwork, roofing, interior and exterior walls, flooring, and any members, parts, or materials crossing from one module to another in order to allow for an acceptable reassembly at the final destination. The proposed contractor, through contract with Davis Monthan AFB, owns the building and is the only known source for purchase and relocation of the building. Estimated contract completion date is June 30, 2001. Estimated magnitude is from $25,000 to $100,000. Bid opening is scheduled on or about October 18, 2001 at 2:00PM. See Note 22.
