Description

The Marine Corps Systems Command, Quantico, VA has a requirement for a Small Arms Protective Insert (SAPI). The SAPI will consist of interchangeable plates that are inserted into the front and back of the Marine's Outer Tactical Vest. The inserts provide a Marine increased protection from small arms rifle fire and indirect fragments. Offerors will be required to submit a product sample as part of proposal submission. The government anticipates an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIC) Firm fixed Price contract with one base year and four optional ordering periods each 12 months in duration. The total maximum quantity over the life of the contract will be 125,000 units. The RFP will be posted to the website in approximately 30-45 days. NAIC Code is 339113.
