Description

This is a combined Synopsis/Solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. A written solicitation is attached in this synopsis. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through the Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 97-27. The Television-Audio Support Activity intends to procure a services non-personal for the factory upgrade of the Government owned two (2) units of Chyron "Max" Character Generators. The Government anticipates negotiating and entering into this contract on a sole source basis with Chyron Corporation, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 "Only one reasonable source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirement". All responsible sources may submit a solicitation, which shall be considered by this office. Offeror's proposing other than the requested item must include specification data sheets/brochures, etc., sufficient to enable the Government to determine the capability of the offered item to meet the specifications as stated in this notice. All responsible offerors must make reference to solicitation number MDA112-01-T-0024 and submitted by 3:00 PM PST, September 14, 2001. Offerors may be mailed to: Television Audio Support Activity, Sacramento Contracting Office, Attn: T-ASA/SCO (Chongae Makiya), 3230 Peacekeeper Way, BLDG: 209, McClellan , CA 95652. Facsimile or e-mail responses are acceptable. To be eligible to receive an award resulting from this solicitation, contractor must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database, NO EXCEPTIONS.
