Description

The contractor shall provide all labor, supervision, materials, tools and equipment necessary for general construction requirements inside the United States Department of Commerce, Herbert C. Hoover Building in Washington, DC. The work may include a variety of trades such as, but not limited to the following: carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, demolition, etc. The successful firm must have previous experience with projects of similar size and scope. The acquisition is a total small business set-aside. The NAICS code is 233320 and the size standard is $27.5 million. The duration of the contract is from date of contract award until September 30, 2002 with four (4) one-year option periods. The Government reserves the right to exercise the options. Award will be a firm fixed price requirements contract, and the procurement method shall be a competitive negotiated Request for Proposal (RFP). Source Selection Procedures, as identified in FAR PART 15.3, shall be utilized in the selection of a firm offering the best value to the Government. A formal selection of a firm shall be made that offers the greatest value to the Government based on a combination of technical evaluation and price factors. For this procurement, technical evaluation factors are more important than cost or price. The solicitation, notice and all amendments will be posted and available for viewing and downloading on the Government Electronic Posting System (Fed Biz Opps) site at www.fedbizopps.gov or www.eps.gov. No paper copies of solicitations or amendments will be issued. No telephone, facsimile or written requests for the solicitation will be accepted.
