- Description
- The Defense Supply Service-Washington (DSS-W) intends to negotiate a sole source commercial item contract with Ruehlin Associates, Coronado, CA, to develop and conduct the General Officer Transition Course (GOTC) for 5 seminars per year for the period 1 Oc tober 2001 through 30 September 2002 with 4 option years. The seminars will provide instruction in translating executive military service into comparable civilian positions that include the following: choosing a compatible work field, developing and honin g an efficient resume and cover letter, interview techniques and considerations, translating military service to suit the needs of the civilian employer, appropriate civilian work attire, optimizing military benefits and resources, and salary and benefit p ackage negotiation. The seminar will be conducted using two instructors who possess the following qualifications: a. Must be present during entire seminar; b. Must have a Master's Degree in any subject area; c. Must have a minimum of three years experience counseling general officers or senior corporate executives specifically related to out-placement services; d. Must have a minimum of ten years active duty military leadership experience; and e. Must have a minimum of five years experience as a senior exec utive in a public or private corporation. The alternate instructor must a. Be present during the entire seminar; b. Have a Bachelor's Degree in any subject area; c. Have a minimum of three years experience counseling general officer's or senior corporate executives specifically related to out-placement services; d. Must have a minimum of ten years military leadership experience (active or reserve); and e. Must have a minimum of five years experience as a senior executive in a public or private corporation . The decision to compete this requirement is solely at the disc retion of the Government. There is no solicitation package available. See Note 22.
