Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with additional information included by electronic notice. Electronic solicitations may be obtained at the following URL: http/www.va.gov/oa&mm/busopp/sols.htm. Any amendments issued to this solicitation will also be available at the URL adress. The electronic announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and written solicitation will not be issued. Offerors are advised that they are responsible for obtaining amendments. The VA Medical Center, White River Jct., VT is seeking the services of a full time Registered Vascular Technologist. Contractor personnel shall have had previous experience in performing a broad range of non-invasive vascular testing procedures. At a minimum individuals assigned to this position shall have completed training, maintain a current certification as a Registered Vascular Technologist, and be familiar with performing the following procedures: abdominal studies, messenteric studies, renal studies, trans cranial dopler studies, as well as routine vascular studies. The scope of this work is directly related to the diagnosis of vascular disease in human beings. Individual shall serve as a member of the vascular team and have the ability to write interpretations of studies performed. Accurate interpretations are critical for this work. The service provider must be current in vascular technological developments and work within guidelines and regulations specified by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Hospital Organizations (JCAHO) and Veterans Administration policies. The service provider must use professional knowledge, experience and professional judgment when performing studies and dealing with problems. Service provider shall be familiar with computer hardware and software programs associated with vascular medicine technology. The service provider shall be familiar with or have the ability to operate the following equipment: ATL Ultrasound Unit Model #Ultramark 9, Parks 1052 bi-directional CW dopler, and a Novametrix TCP-02. All personnel providing services under this contract shall speak and write English proficiently. The solicitaiton number is 405-03-02. This solicitation is issued as an RFP. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-27. The acquisition is unrestricted. The NAIC code is 621999. Evaluations will be made on availability, qualifications, past performance, price, and small disadvantaged business HUB Zone participation. Offerors are required to submit a complete copy of the provision at 52.212-3 -- Offerors Representation and Certifications -- Commercial Item with their offer. No telephone requests will be accepted.
