Description

The Ute Mountain Ute Tribe is soliciting proposals from qualified cultural resources contractors to conduct a seven-year archaeological data recovery and analysis program of cultural resources impacted by the construction and operation of the Animas-La Plata Project located in southwestern Colorado. Construction will begin FY2002 on the Project, and cultural resources activities will begin in the spring of 2002. All responsible contractors may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the Tribe; please contact the Tribe for a copy of the RFP. A pre-proposal conference is scheduled in Durango, CO on September 18, 2001 for all prospective contractors. The successful contractor will be responsible for conducting archaeological, historical and ethnographic surveys and evaluations, submission of a research design, development of annual work plans, completion of field and laboratory manuals, establishment of a laboratory, archeological/historical data recovery and other mitigative investigations, laboratory analysis of recovered cultural material, artifact conservation and curation, management of personnel and subcontractors, consultation with the Bureau of Reclamation, submission of progress reports and billing statements, reporting on the results of investigation, preparation of a final reporting publication series, and to assure Reclamation's compliance with all federal and state cultural resource laws.!!
