Description
The purpose of this announcement is to notify all prospective offerors that the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has decided to add a tier and re-arrange the existing cascading tiers under this solicitation. The NEW cascading tiers are as follows: FIRST TIER: SECTION 8(a); SECOND TIER: HUBZONE; THIRD TIER: SMALL BUSINESS; and FOURTH TIER: FULL AND OPEN COMPETITION. It is believed that the new order for selecting awardees provides more opportunity for 8(a)s, HUBZONES, and small businesses to compete for this requirement. The complete cascading award procedures will be outlined under Section L of the solicitation. Also, the solicitation will include a Task Order Statement of Work for WATER CONSERVATION REHABILITATION STRATEGIES FOR SINGLE-FAMILY HOUSING. HUD contemplates awarding the task order (Task Order 0001) simultaneous with the award of the Basic Contract. The period of performance for the Task Order is eight (8) months with no options. The Task Order Statement of Work will be outlined in Section J of the solicitation. HUD still contemplates multiple awards against the Basic Statement of Work.
