- This is a synopsis for commercial items. The Library of the Securities and d Exchange Commission (SEC) intends to award a simplified acquisition on a sole-source basis to Matthew Bender & Company, Inc., 1275 Broadway, Albany, NY, yearly, legal publications, subscriptions and upkeep service. The following are examples of titles: Applying GAAP & GAAS, Regulation of Investment Companies, Anti-Trust Counseling and Litigation, Attorney's Handbook of Accounting, Benders Federal Practice Forms, Blue Sky Regulations, Commercial Law & Practice Guide, Collier Bankruptcy Practice Guide, Collier on Bankruptcy, Handbook for Internal Auditors, Moore's Federal Practice, Federal Evidence Practice Guide, Modern Federal Jury Instructions, Bank Holding Company Compliance, Federal Securities Exchange Act of 1934, Securities Primary Law Sourcebook, Federal Securities Act of 1933, and Securitites Law Techniques. The period of performance will be from 07/01/01 through 06/30/02. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the government will consider all proposals received by 09/17/01. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
