Description
The U.S. Postal Service (USPS) is seeking to pre-qualify sources capable of providing a Rotating Pallet Lift Table. The lift shall be a totally self contained unit complete with pre-wired controls and ready for operation upon delivery requiring only positioning and connecting to a 3 phase, 230 volt, 60 cycle power supply. The lift table shall be capable of raising and lowering 2500 pounds from the lowered height maximum of 10 inches to a raised height of 36 inches above the floor. The time to raise the unit shall be 15 seconds (max.). The time to lower the unit shall be 17 seconds (max.). The lift table must be capable of holding a test load at any height. The lift table shall experience no racking or other damage such as binding or scrapping, distortion or permanent set when the unit is tested. With test load at rest, the force to start rotation of the turntable unit shall be not more than 40 lbs. for any position between ground zero and 36" up from the workroom floor. The force required to keep the turntable rotating shall not be more than 25lbs for any position between ground zero and 36" up from the workroom floor. Suppliers that have similar machines that can be adapted to perform the functions of the pallet lift table are encouraged to submit their company?s name, address, contact person and telephone number, for receipt of a possible future pre-qualification package and subsequent solicitation. If no commercial machines are available in the marketplace, the USPS may pursue a research and development effort.=20 As part of their response, interested parties may submit as examples, descriptions and specifications of their standard products whose capabilities parallel the foregoing requirements.
