- 84 -- Synopsis Number: GT1005. Reply to Attn: AMSAM-AC-SA-F, in all replies. It is the Government's intent to purchase 64 body armor vest for the Government of Columbia. Outer carrier will consist of lightweight material that will be water resistant, washable, and removable. Vest will have one or more pockets in front and a pocket in back for added protection must have full torso protection. Basic protection will be Kevlar material, all strapping will be hook and loop configuration with overlapping side lprotection and will have full lapping shoulder protection with adjustable straps. Color will be camouflage, (Jungle/Woodland). The quantity will be medium, a quintity of 50 and large a quantity of 14. Body armor will be capable of stopping a 7.62X39 projectile. Contractor's manuals will be provided to explain use and repair of the body armor. This requirement is a Small Business Set-Aside, however all responses from responsible sources will be fully considered.
