Description

The Acquisition Management Department, National Naval Medical Center has a requirement for Serology, Laboratory Medicine Department. NNMC intends to award a sole sourced standing order to Wampole Laboratories, Division of Carter Wallace, Half Acre Road Cranbury, NJ 08512. The required automated system is specifically designed for the detection of infectious and autoimmune diseases by Enzyme Immuno Assay (EIA) technology from patient blood specimens. These items will be shipped in four (4) equal shipments in October 2001, January, April and July 2002. The Laboratory will be provided with the use of a Labotech Immunoanalyzer (trademark of Biochem Immunosystems (U.S.) Inc. a subsidiary of Biochem Pharma Inc.) to perform these tests. This system includes the analyzer, analyzer accessories, computer, printer, software upgrades (Window Software), maintenance repair, technical support and training. Award will be made in the form of a SF1449 commercial purchase order for the period 1 October 2001 through 30 September 2002. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This acquisition is being conducted under the guidelines as set forth in the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). Award will be contingent upon availability of FY02 funding.
