- Description
- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are be ing requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. CLIN 0001 Demining Detection Sets, 50 EACH. Specifications are as follows: A. Functions: 1. Adapt continuously to changing soil conditions; 2. Capable of detecting mines in shallow water (salt o r fresh); 3. Reduce interference from mineralised soil or background influence; 4. Designed to detect very small metallic objects with small amount of metal content; 5. Capable of detecting interference from other detectors in use 6. Audio Signal must be d istinct. Signal will change in volume and strength as detector becomes closer to an object; 7. Audio signal is produced when the metallic object is under the center of the search head or LED that illuminates indicating which side of the coil is receiving signal from the target; 8. Recognizes a false ground signal as false and ignores it. B. Equipment Design: 1. Set must include: Search head, pole that can be shortened or lengthened, headphone/ear piece, rugged transport case, carrying case/bag, batteries, battery recharger, hand & armrests, instrument spare parts; 2. One-piece construction and one control dial; 3. Battery operated and capable of using rechargeable batteries; 4. Battery sensor when battery is getting low; 5. Totally sealed with no external cables or wires; 6. Headphone or ear piece can be worn under headgear; 7. Headphone or ear piece must have a volume control; 8. Easy to assemble and prepare for use; 9. Small search head suitable for use in washouts or narrow channels such as pipes; 10. Au tomatic self-test checking system prior to deploying; 11. Lightweight construction NTE 2.2kg. C. Environment/Operating Conditions: 1. Operating Temperature: -15C to +35C; 2. Operating Time: 50 hours 3. Must be waterproof and sealed from humidity. D. Othe r: 1. Operating/Users Manuals must be available in either English, French, German or Spanish. Customer may want a combination of any of the four manuals; 2. One year manufacturerb n. Requisition Number BPLE4N1157D001. Additional batteries for the items, apart from those provided with the set are not required. Delivery shall be arranged upon award. The contractor will provide the technical point of contact with shipping informatio n (e.g date shipped, how shipped, GBL numbers, etc.) and a copy of the packing list. This is a Foreign Military Sales Requirement, FMS Case Poland PL-B-BAC. The provision at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors -- Commercial, applies to this acquisition. A co mpleted copy of the provision at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications -- Commercial Items, must be provided with offers. The clause at 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions -- Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. The clause at 52.21 2-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required To Implement Statutes or Executive Orders -- Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition.
