- Description
- Sources Sought for a contractor to perform personnel and corporate security background investigations on Customs Broker License applicants on a nationwide basis. Investigative services coverage in all 50 States including Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands and Guam. All non-field work will be performed at the contractor?s site (i.e., scoping investigations, monitoring time frames of investigations, obtaining information on incomplete forms from applicants, any photo copying required for the investigation process, etc.) The types of Customs Broker License Background Investigations will fall into one of the following categories: Individual Customs Brokers License and Corporate Brokers License. This synopsis constitutes the only synopsis that will be issued and advertised for this requirement. Sources interested in submitting information in response to this sources sought synopsis should provide as part of its submission the following items which would indicate that your firm meets the Government requirement: (1) a capability statement; (2) past performance information (cite at least three projects over the past three years) of the same or similar services with the company name, address, and telephone numbers of technical and business references in order for Customs to validate past (or current) performance; (3) descriptive technical literature, brochures, catalogs, etc; a brief technical proposal describing how the services would be performed in an expeditious manner; (4) commercial pricelists; (5) pricing information; etc. Proposed employees must be a U.S. Citizen and a favorable, current (within five years) background investigation. Responses to this synopsis should be mailed during the identification number set forth in this synopsis to Pansy Bradley-Cooper, Contracting Officer, U.S. Customs Service, Procurement Division, 1300 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW, Suite 4.2-E, Washington, D.C. 20229. Telephone, facsimile, or e-mail responses will not be honored. This announcement is not a request for proposals (RFP), only a request for information at this time. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether the requirement should be solicited in the future. Following receipt and review of submissions and at the election of the Government a conference may be scheduled with interested parties to discuss the requirement. The Government does not intend to pay sources that respond to this announcement. The appropriate NAIC is 561611 ($9 M). Responses must be received not later than fifteen (15) days from the date of CBD publication of this notice.=20
