Description

The Pacific Northwest Region, U.S. Bureau of Reclamation, Boise, ID, intends to award a sole source purchase order to Nu-Way Flume & Equipment Company, 161 Elkhorn Rd, Raymond, WA, telephone 360-942-3581, for the acquisition of 106 ramp flumes with capacities ranging from two cubic feet per second (cfs) to 15 cfs. The proposed action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only a single source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Nu-Way Flume & Equipment holds the exclusive rights to manufacture the required flumes under US patent 5,156,489. These ramp flumes, manufactured from galvanized metal, are capable of measuring low water flow with an accuracy of plus or minus two percent in the laboratory and plus or minus three percent in the field. These flumes will be used for water measurement classes and field demonstrations. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within ten days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
