Description

The Defense Supply Service-Washington intends to procure two Xylan Omni Switch Routers with: Back bone switching modules; redundant power supplies; desktop switching modules; ethernet server switching modules; management modules; base switching units; stacking kits; expansion bundles; and standard management processor modules. The Omni Switch/Router hub is the standard device adopted by the Directorate of Personnel and Security, Human Resource Services Center for local area networking communication. Currently, three omni switch router hubs are installed. HP Open View is the Directorate's monitoring and management software package. Xylan's hub management software is compatible with the installed version of HP Open View. With the installation of another Omni Switch Router, no other software or hardware platforms will have to be purchased to support the ZYLAN hardware. All interested firms should respond to this request for quotations within the time specified.
