Description

The Air Armament Center (AAC), Eglin AFB, FL, intends to solicit and award a firm-fixed price contract for supplies. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Part 12, Commercial Acquisition and FAR Part 13.5 test program for certain commercial items, and as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. Award will be made based on evaluation factors of price and technical capabilities as required. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; a quotation is being requested and a separate written request for quotation will not be issued. The reference number for this announcement is F33TSP12350100, and the detailed description is as follows: Subject request is for 1) a 100 watt, 33-36 GHz 20% duty cycle TWT (Traveling Wave Tube) amplifier; 2) a 200 watt, 8-18 GHz, 50% duty cycle TWT amplifier; 3) a spare 200 watt, 8-18 GHz, traveling wave (TWT) tube, and 4) a modulator/power supply system to support all of the amplifiers previously listed. These systems will require unique packaging in order to meet the size and weight constraints for this radar transceiver. The individual TWTA assemblies must fit into a 5+3/4 (inches) x 11+1/2(inches) x 23+1/2(inches) volume and weigh less than 60lbs. These subsystems will be used as part of the radar transmitter in the development of the Advanced MMW imaging radar System (AMIRS) under the TSMADS CTEIP program. The required delivery date for this acquisition is NLT 30 June 2002. This requirement is for Full and Open Competition using the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this acquisition is 334220. The size standard for the NAICS code is 750 employees. Supplies will be delivered to Eglin AFB on an FOB Destination basis. Please specify delivery date.
