Description

NAWCAD Lakehurst has been tasked to initiate a Repair of Repairables (ROR) BOA with Racal Instruments, Inc. for various levels of support for trouble shooting, repair and calibration of the existing Jet Engine Test Instrumentation, (JETI P/N A/F32T-10 and A/W37T-1). The proposed ROR BOA shall cover Training, Training Equipment/Technical Documentation; Computer Software, Packing and Transportation; Calibration; Sustaining Engineering Support; Repair of GFP/GFE; Component rework; Technical data and information; and Emergency procurement of components in support of the fielded JETI units. The term of the BOA shall be effective for a period of three (3) years. As specified above, the Navy has procured these items that may require contractor support services. The Government intends to negotiate this BOA under the authority of 10 USC 2304 (c) (1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. Racal Instrumentation, Inc. is the sole designer and manufacturer of the JETI, and is the only known firm possessing the knowledge, experience and technical expertise necessary to fulfill the Navy's requirements. Firms that recognize and produce the required items are encouraged to identify themselves within fifteen days. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which, may be considered by the Government in determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
