- Sources Sought: THIS IS NOT A NOTICE OF RFP ISSUANCE. The U. S. Coast Guard Maintenance and Logistics Command Atlantic, intends to issue a Fixed Price Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity type contract for a base and 4 option periods. This sources sought is to compile a list of companies that can provide a Depthfinder with the following General System Requirements: A. One (1) 10 inch color TFT LCD display depthfinder that transmits at 50 and 200 kHz. B. Three (3) Stainless steel transducers, one (1) 50 kHz and two (2) 200 kHz. C. Total Quantity: Initial Purchase Indicators 20 Transducers 60 D. Initial 2-year complete replacement warranty with the option to procure an extension to the warranty up to a total of 5 years. The required salient features includes: 1. The display must be a 10 inch or more color TFT LCD display that has at least 640 x 480 pixels. 2. Display weight may not to exceed 11 lbs. 3. Display must be waterproof in accordance with 46 CFR. 4. Display must be readable in direct sunlight and have adjustable back lighting to allow the display to be read at night without degrading the operators night vision 5. Transmit power: The maximum power out to the transducer shall not exceed 600 Wrms at high power. There must be a low power setting in the100 to 250 Wrms range. 6. The unit must be able to display an echogram from the 50Khz and one of the two installed 200Khz transducers simultaneously. 7. The unit must be able to correct for the depth below the surface for each transducer (offset). 8. Transducers: The transducer will be rated to handle the maximum power out for which the unit is rated (600Wrms). 9. The transducer housing shall be similar in design to the Airmar SS555, SS505, or B203. (The max outside diameter shall be no more than 2 and 7/8 inches.) 10. Unit must be capable of transmitting the NMEA depth string DPT (Depth including offset) to, and be accepted by, the Cap?n Charting Software. 11. Unit must be capable of adjusting displayed depth to show depth below the keel or depth from the surface. 12. Unit must be capable of sending and receiving NMEA 0183 (V2.0). 13. Unit must have 2 NMEA ports and be capable of receiving and transmitting NMEA data on both ports. 14. Unit must be able to set both a maximum and minimum depth alarm at the same time. 15. Unit must have event markers for current ping and depth memory. 16. Unit must have a zoom mode of the bottom and variable range marker expansion. 17. Unit must have the ability to set image speed and can be set for time or distance with at least 3 settings. 18. Unit must be capable of showing A-scope and white line discrimination. 19. Unit must be capable of selecting a water profile of salt or fresh water. 20. Unit must be capable of reading the following NMEA inputs: GLL, RMC, VTG, APB, RMB, and XTE. 21. Unit will be capable of a displaying a graphic depth history of the last 30 min. All interested sources capable of providing a Depthfinder with the above salient features to the U. S. Coast Guard can respond to this notice and provide company name, address, telephone number and point of contact. Sources must indicate the business size status: Small Business, 8(a), or other.
