Description
THIS NOTICE CONSTITUTES AMENDMENT NO. 2 TO THE COMBINED Synopsis/RFO FOR LOW TEMPERATURE FREEZER AND STORAGE OPTIONS FOR SCIENCE SAMPLE PAYLOADS IN SUPPORT OF THE INTERNATIONAL SPACE STATION SUPPLEMENTED WITH ADDITIONAL INFORMATION CONTAINED IN THIS NOTICE. The purpose of this amendment is to provide answers to questions, provide revised Statements of Work (SOWs), and provide additional documentation. The SOWs and additional documentation are provided separately along with this amendment. The additional documentation can be found at http://jsc-web-pub.jsc.nasa.gov/bd01/9BH13260129P/ The answers to questions are as follows: Question 3: There have been several inquiries about where or how the documents mentioned in the RFI can be obtained. Answer: A copy of SSP-52000-IDD-ERP, Express Rack Interface Definition Document, Rev. C: has been posted on this website. A copy of NSTS-21000-IDD-MDK, Shuttle/Payload Unique Interface Control Document is available at: http://www.unitedspacealliance.com/icd/mdkidd/contents.html Question 4: There have been several inquiries about more exact defining the " 7" x 7" x 11" " contiguous payload discussed in Cold Volume and Access section of each of the Statements of Work (SOW). Answer: This volume is based on several factors including: existing payload and card dimensions, and cold volume flexibility for future missions, and so is not limited to any current payload. The volume was selected to be able to envelope all the currently foreseeable missions. More precise measurements have now been made and revisions to the SOWs are made. Please check the posted revisions to the SOWs. Question 5: There have been several inquiries about more exactly defining the Sample Card discussed and pictured in Cold Volume and Access section of each SOW.
