Description

The project involves the removal of select rubber deposits and re-painting of runway centerlines and distance markings. The Base Bid items include: 0001 -- the removal of 413,000 square feet of rubber deposits and: 0002 -- the painting of 40,500 square feet of reflectorized runway centerlines and distance markings. This will be a firm-fixed price construction contract with an 80-calendar day performance time (During the weekends to be coordinated with the contracting officer (CO). It is our intent to accomplish this project prior to 31 October 2001). This solicitation, a request for proposal (RFP), will be issued on an unrestricted basis. The estimated dollar value of this project is between $25,000 and $100,000. The NAICS code for this acquisition is 23599 0. The small business size standard is $11,500,000. The successful contractor will be selected by evaluating the lowest, responsive, responsible offer. The Government reserves the right to award a contract to other than the proposed price. Offerors shall submit proposals that can be accepted solely on the basis of the initial offer as the Government may proceed with award of a contract without further discussion. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be issued electronically on or about 31 August 2001; it will be issued on the Government's Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. Paper copies are not available. You must register on the subject site in order to receive notification of changes to the solicitation; however, you may still retrieve the changes without registering. Note: Any prospective contract must be registered in the Central Contract Registration (CCR) www.ccr2000.com in order to be eligible for award. Registration requires applicants to have a DUNS number.
