Description

The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, San Diego, intends to solicit for administrative and facilities related support services at NAVSEA Corona, CA. The services, which are currently provided by Government personnel, were announced for commercial activity cost comparison study in accordance with OMB Circular A-76. The solicitation (N00244-01-R-0056) was previously issued as a 100% small business set aside. The set aside has been lifted and the solicitation is now unrestricted. The solicitation and any subsequent amendments resulting from this announcement will be available to interested parties via the Navy Electronic Commerce Online (NECO) Web Site http://www.neco.navy.mil on or about 24 September 2001 with a closing date of 31 October 2001. It is the responsibility of interested parties to periodically monitor the NECO web site for updates and new listings. It is anticip ated that the contract type will be a firm-fixed price with award fee provisions. The contract is anticipated to contain a 30 day phase-in period, a Base period (expiring that same fiscal year), and four one year options. Previous CBD Announcements are hereby cancelled and replaced by this synopsis. Interested parties who did not attend the previous site visit may request one from the Contracting Officer via the following e-mail address: maria_s_papet@sd.fisc.navy.mil. Phone or fax requests will not be accepted. The government will no longer accept, accumulate or post an electronic bidders list for this requirement. The government will post a list of site visit attendees by Company Name only, on the NECO Web Site. This procurement is being conducted under Commercial Activity OMB A-76 cost comparison guidelines. If government performance is determined to be more advantag eous, the solicitation will be cancelled. Only electronic copies of the solicitation and supporting documentation will be provided at the NECO website.
