THIS IS A COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION FOR COMMERCIAL ITEMS PREPARED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE FORMAT IN FAR SUBPART 12.6 AS SUPPLEMENTED WITH ADDITIONAL INFORMATION INCLUDED IN THIS NOTICE. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLICITATION; QUOTATIONS ARE BEING REQUESTED, AND A WRITTEN SOLICITATION DOCUMENT WILL NOT BE ISSUED*****This solicitation, F10603-01-Q-0005, is a Request for Quotation (RFQ), Simplified Method of Acquisition will be used for this procurement. Mountain Home Air Force Base has a requirement for 10 forkliftable containers with the following description ? Mfg: AAR Cadillac Manufacturing: Model ISU-70KC four door, forkliftable, container, Part # 56150-000. Color: Forest Green/ Size: Standard 108? x 88? and 70? high, Tare weight: 1360 LBS/ Interior Cube : 282 cubit feet/ Payload: 10,000 lbs OR EQUAL. There will be two storage bins above short doors. These items will be used for storage and deployment. Mountain Home Air Force Base has a requirement for 12 forklift able containers with the following description ? Mfg: AAR Cadillac Manufacturing Model ISU- 90 Four Door, Forklift able, container, Part # 56102-000. Color: Forest Green/ Size: Standard 108? x 88? and 90? high. Tare weight will be 1,720 lbs, Interior Cube will be 396 cubic feet with a payload of 10,000 lbs OR EQUAL. This item will be used for storage and deployment. Delivery is required within 90 days after receipt of order (ARO). Delivery location is Mountain Home Air Force Base, Idaho, 83648. The FOB Point shall be Destination, Mountain Home AFB. Submit written offers (oral offers will not be accepted). All Statement of Need and Evaluation Factor requirements must be met as they appear in this notice. This solicitation is open to both large and small business concerns. All interested responsible firms should submit quotes (original plus one copy of quote and enclosures), by 4:00 PM, Mountain Standard Time, on 10 September 2001, to 366 Contracting Squadron, P.O. Box 4037/Bldg 512, Room 498, Mountain Home AFB, ID 83648-4037 Attn: SSgt David Roux. A period of acceptance must be indicated on the proposal and must be good for 30 days.
