Description

The Social Security Administration (SSA) intends to acquire on a sole source basis the following equipment provided by Pitney Bowes on an open market basis: one Pitney Bowes MD03 6 Station Trailer Unit and one Pitney Bowes Y390 On Edge Power Stacker. These items will be ordered in a configuration of Pitney Bowes inserter equipment that (other than these items) will be provided under Pitney Bowes' GSA schedule contract. No other supplier for this equipment is known to be available. This is an announcement of SSA?s intent to issue an open market order to Pitney Bowes for the MD03 6 Station Trailer Unit and Y390 On Edge Power Stacker; SSA will not issue a solicitation. SSA will not respond to requests for solicitation copies and will not pay for information received in response to this announcement. Responses must provide sufficient information for SSA to determine that a firm other than Pitney Bowes can provide the Pitney Bowes MD03 6 Station Trailer Unit and Pitney Bowes Y390 On Edge Power Stacker. If SSA does not receive an acceptable response to this announcement within 5 days of its publication, it will issue a purchase order to Pitney Bowes for the Pitney Bowes MD03 6 Station Trailer Unit and Pitney Bowes Y390 On Edge Power Stacker. Respondents should refer to Pitney Bowes Equipment.
