Description

The U.S. Department of Commerce, NOAA, intend to acquire from Perkin Elmer full protection maintenance on a Perkin Elmer 5100PC Atomic Absorption instrument and Perkin Elmer Elan 6100 ICP Mass Spectrometer instrument (hereafter called the Instruments) located at the National Ocean Service, Center for Coastal Environmental Health and Bimolecular Research (CCEHBR), Charleston Laboratory, Charleston, SC. The Government knows of only one source to provide the referenced service. The intended procurement is for services for which the Government intends to acquire from source under the authority of 41USC253(c)(1). Any business sources able to provide the specific service referenced, are encouraged to respond to this announcement with in 7 days after it's publication. Interested firms should submit in writing, their name, address, point of contact, telephone number, business size and a brief statement regarding their capability and qualification to provide this specific service. This information should be faxed to 816-426-7530. Attn: Sharon Walker. Emails will not be accepted. This acquisition is being conducted pursuant to the guideline set forth in FAR Part 13. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no qualified responses are received, the Government intends to contract with Perkin Elmer for the service referenced. The NAICS is 421491. The small business size is 500 employees. This is not a small business set-aside. Note 22.
