Description
OR PFH 164-1(1), SANDLAKE-GALLOWAY ROAD, Siuslaw National Forest, Sandlake Recreation Area, Tillamook County, Oregon. This project will be bid with a Base schedule plus 1 Option. This work consists of 12.36 km of grading, drainage, base, paving, gabion and rockery retaining walls, and two bridges (one single span, precast, prestressed, deck bulb tee girder type on steel H piles, and one single span, precast, prestressed, voided slab type on steel H piles). The project consists of construction survey & staking; contractor sampling & testing; monuments & markers; permanent traffic control devices; 7,300 m silt fence, 95 slurry units temporary turf establishment; 50,000 cu m watering for dust control; 19 ha clearing & grubbing; removal of obstructions (55 signs, 36 gates, 95 culverts, 1 bridge, 6,020 m fence, 425 m guardrail); 203,000 cu m roadway excavation; 7,400 cu m embankment reconstruction; 6,600 cu m subexcavation; 91,000 cu m select borrow; 76,000 sq m earthwork geotextiles; 1,500 sq m geogrid; 140 cu m structure excavation; 7,900 sq m roadway obliteration; 34,000 cu m riprap; 650 sq m gabion walls; 1,050 sq m gabion faced retaining wall; 1,500 sq m rockery retaining wall; 46,000 t untreated aggregate courses; 18,600 t emulsified asphalt treated base course; 20,200 t hot asphalt concrete pavement; 42 t asphalt tack coat; 280 sq m asphalt pavement milling; 453 m steel H piles; 91 cu m structural concrete; 5 ea 27.6 m deck bulb tee girders; 8 ea 1,220mm x 16,845mm voided slab units; 9,740 kg epoxy coated reinforcing steel; 87 m steel bridge rail; 46 m Thrie beam bridge rail; 8 ea culvert headwalls; 1,920 m pipe culverts (450mm to 1,200mm diameter); 143 m pipe arch culverts (1,670 x 1,300mm to 4,340 x 2,790mm); 24 m precast concrete box culvert (2,400 x 1,200mm); 12,500 sq m subdrainage blanket; 100 m outlet pipe; 2,510 m concrete curb; 2,905 m bridge transition railing; 60 ea 46 m terminal sections; 6,640 m fence; 89,000 sq m conserved topsoil; 248 slurry units seeding & mulching; 185 ea alder & cottonwood trees; 140 willow bundles; 7,050 sq m erosion control mat; 73,200 m permanent pavement markings; 11,250 flagger hrs; 2,600 pilot car hrs; construct & maintain 3 detours with temporary bridges; and other smaller items of work. Project is located approximately 16 km south of Tillamook. Work shall be completed by November 1, 2003. Estimated price range is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000.
