Description

Vendor to provide all labor, material, equipment, supplies, transportation and supervision necessary to: transport and transfer contractor-provided diesel fuel and pump out the sewage sludge at Dry Tortugas National Park. The park is 68 nautical miles west of Key West, Florida in the Gulf of Mexico. Vendor to provide vessel, crew, equipment, and diesel fuel necessary to service two locations inside the Park, Garden and Loggerhead Keys, which are two miles apart. There are three 6000 gallon underground tanks at Garden Key and two 3500 gallon aboveground tanks at Loggerhead Key. Approximately 10,000 gallons of fuel is required every other month or an average of 50,000 gallons a year. Vendor will also be required to pump and dispose of at an authorized sewage plant approximately 8400 gallons of sludge from the visitor center restrooms located on Garden Key. The sludge is pumped four times a year at 2100 gallons per pump out. All interested parties must meet federal regulations, which govern the operations of vessels for water transportation and transfer of petroleum fuels. Anticipated period of performance will be 12 months with 3 one-year option periods. An indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract with economic price adjustments will be awarded, with separate task orders issued for each delivery and pump out.
