Department of Veterans Affairs, John D. Dingell, 4646 John R, Detroit, Michigan 48201 is soliciting offers from all responsible sources who can provide labor, parts, materials and equipment to overhaul the compressor on #1 chiller. Overhaul shall include the following: 1)Uncouple motor and compressor; megger motor windings, starter leads, and starter, 2)Transfer refrigerant to recovery unit, 3) Drain oil, perform oil analysis, 4) Disassemble compressor, 5)Remove motor, 6)Replace compressor gaskets and O-rings, 7)Replace compressor bearings, 8)Replace impeller seal ring, 9)Inspect vane assembly and advise on conditions found, 10)Reassemble compressor, 11)Reinstall motor, recouple to compressor, 12)Leak check, 13)Evacuate, 15)Transfer refrigerant charge back into chiller, 16)Start-up, test, check, and adjust. All workmanship, and materials shall be warranteed for a period of one year from completion of work. Defective materials, and/or workmanship shall be repaired at no additional cost to the medical center. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for a commercial item, prepared in accordance with the subparts in Federal Acquisition Regulation 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutues the only solicitation; bids are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. solicitation number (RFQ) 553-84-01 is assigned and shall be referenced on any proposals. Partial proposals shall be rejected. Proposals shall be subbmitted to the address listed herein or faxed to 313-576-4232 and directed to the attention of Marilyn Dogan (001R-A). The government shall not be held responsible for quality of fax transmittals. The solicitation number (RFQ number )553-84-01 shall be listed on the outside of your response for identification. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-13, provisions and clauses found at 52.212-1, 52.212-4, and 52.212-5.
