8030-00-783-8886 UI: CA SEALING COMPOUND: DESCRIPTION A firewall sealant for use in aircraft firewall applications at service operating temperatures of -65 to 400 deg. F and flash temperatures up to 2000 deg. F. Size: The product shall be furnished in 3.5 fl oz quantities consisting of separate base material and curing age nt packaged in 6 oz injection-type cartridges conforming to Military Specification MIL-S-38714B, Sealant Cartridg e For Two Component Materials, dated May 15, 1987. The cartridge shall be a unit container and assembly designed to separate the curing agent and base components in such a manner that the two materials can be uniformly blende d just prior to use. There shall be no interaction chemically or physically with the contents which would damage the cartridge or alter the strength, quality, or purity of the components. The material must be completely and correctly mixed when the cartridge instructions are followed. The cartridge closure shall prevent the leakage of material during shipment, handling, storage, and redistribution. Shelf life code: 4 (12 months) Maximum age on delivery: 2 months PRC-DeSoto International Inc. p/n P/S-700 or Flamemaster/Chemseal Inc. p/n CS-1900.
