8030-01-290-5137 UI: KT SEALING COMPOUND: DESCRIPTION In accordance with SAE Aerospace Material Specification AMS 3277, Sealing Compound, Polythioether, Integral Fuel Tanks and General Purpose, Fast Curing, Intermittent Use to 360F (182C), dated April 1995. QPL qualification required. NOTE: Third party inspection certification (NADCAP program) required for this specification. Type I: adhesion promoter required Class B-1/2: for application by extrusion gun or spatula, 1/2 hour application time Size: The product shall be furnished as a minimum of 3.5 fl oz packaged in a 6.0 fl oz sectionalized, extrusion cartridge conforming to Military Specification MIL-S-38714B, Sealant Cartridge for Two Component Materials, dated May 15, 1987 and required amount of adhesion promoter in a separate container of the type normally used for the product. There shall be no interaction chemically or physically with the contents which would damage the contain ers or alter the strength, quality, or purity of the contents. Each filled cartridge shall be sealed in an appro priate type bag/envelope. All containers shall be closed in a manner that insures the contents shall not spill o r leak during shipment, handling, storage, and redistribution. The kit shall be containerized so that the compon ents are not separated during shipment, handling, storage, and redistribution. Shelf life code: 3 (9 months) Maximum age on delivery: 2 months
