Description

The Federal Highway Administration plans to award a purchase order to the Corrpro Companies Inc. to perform necessary maintenance and clean-up at remote corrosion test exposure sites. The services shall include exposure corrosion test coupons of four separate weathering steel alloys. These exposures shall be incrementally collect ed and analyzed over a 2-year period. Corrpro Companies, Inc. has previously completed research programs on remot e corrosion test exposures. The exposures still exist and must now have maintenance and tear-down that was not o riginally provided for. Through this maintenance and tear-down, valuable data can be collected and studied. Bec ause of the extensive experience Corrpro possesses, they are the only known source who can perform a significant analysis of this data. Furthermore, Corrpro controls one of the existing sites and this site will be used for co ntrolled, frequent access to exposure specimens. Due to the unique nature of the data acquired at each specific exposure site, the use of the same sites and same experimental arrangement as in the previous program is essentia l. This is a Simplified Acquisition and the anticipated award date is on or about September 5, 2001.
